Signs of spirit

It's so nice to meet you! So often, Spirit is speaking to us, and either we are too busy to see the signs, or we don't know they are signs at all. I created this blog to help point out those small signs and signatures that have blessed my life, so you can use them as the guideposts they are intended to be. Join me as I share what I have learned!

When was the last time you reflected on your personal and professional decisions? How easy is it for you to change your mind and pivot?

Generally, most people are not enamored with change. Often, our work, choices, and routines, become our identity. This is especially likely after we have invested time, money, and have shared them publicly with others.

Oftentimes, we ignore the promptings to shift, put on the blinders, and possibly double down to work twice as hard. We often rationalize, trying to prove ourselves right and others wrong, to stay the course.

When was the last time you took a look at your friendships? Oftentimes we hold on to people because we have been friends for a long time, but do they treat you well? Do you feel honored and respected in their presence and do you have fun with them?

What do you watch on TV and what foods do you eat regularly? Do you feel energized and healthy? Do you exercise?

Regarding your professional choices, how do you feel about your work? Do you feel like you are making a difference? Are you happy? Do your bosses and co-workers treat you well?

For me, I pivoted last May, taking a marketing course that taught me how to run Facebook Challenges, but I did not dive into the idea that the core content of my work would change. It never occurred to me to even consider it. Just a couple of weeks ago I ran across a Facebook Live video with Seth Godin who was interviewing Adam Grant, the author of the newly published book; Think Again. I could feel Spirit nudging me to listen and open up to the message. I then realized that my work was going to take a radical turn, yet I still do not know what that will look like entirely.  All I know is that I feel in my gut that it’s time for a change, and I am willing to follow my instinct.

Synchronicities in life are often guided by spirit, and it was no accident I tuned into FB at that time and saw the live video. Spirit was speaking to me through that video.

At first, I resisted the change. But as I allowed myself to step back, I could feel that this new course of action will be much better for me, lighter. So here I am sharing with you that I am undergoing a shift and I don’t know what that looks like exactly. It requires faith and trust, with lots of journaling, and time in nature to make sure I am connected and receiving the messages. It is a vulnerable and  uncomfortable position to be in, yet I am SO excited! What is being asked of me is to release my need to control, settle into the unknown, and let it flow.

Change doesn’t have to be hard. Perhaps the best place to start if you struggle with it, is to shift how you feel about doing new things. I know I am.

I’m inviting you to take a look at your life and see what’s working and what’s not, then ask “what else is possible?”

I’d love to hear what you discover.
